Debbie Bartlett, CAS (Certified Advertising Specialist)
Debbie is the two time recipient of the highly regarded PPAI (Promotional Products Association International) Pyramid Awards. A Gold Pyramid for a creative self promotion was awarded back in 2003, as well as the Silver Pyramid awarded in January 2009 for a successful ongoing client promotion for Auto Skill International.That silver entry went on to be the winner of the "Best of PPAI" as well. She has also been awarded several of her franchisor's top awards , including the Adventures in Advertising Presidents Award, The Mastermind Award, the Velocity Award for exponential growth, as well as the ASI (Advertising Specialty Inc) Marketing Genius Award in 2009 for the marketing of her company website: www.blackbearpromos.com. In 2012 she teamed up with two AIA colleagues to submit an AIA ADVEE entry which took first place for creative self promotion, along with honorable mention for an entry she submitted for a client promotion. In August 2013 Debbie submitted an entry for the AIA ADVEE along with the same AIA colleagues . That 3D promotional holiday mailer was a first place winner! Again in 2017 Black Bear Promotions was awarded a SILVER Image Award for another creative self promotion.
Deb also believes in giving back to the industry that has served her so well. She volunteered to serve on the Adventures in Advertising Marketing Committee from 2004-2009, and is currently part of the AIA Idea Team that helps to create marketing pieces and collateral to help franchise owners market their businesses. In 2018 the team has morphed into an owner advisory team and Debbie has volunteered to help the committee put together a new and trending product website for AIA owners.
Debbie is seen frequently in promotional industry magazines including ASI Advantages, PPB, Counselor Magazine. PromoMarketing and many more.
She has owned AIA Black Bear Promotions, Inc for over 19 years and has earned the CAS (Certified Advertising Specialist) designation from PPAI and is working towards her MAS (Master Advertising Specialist), which elevates her to only 4% of industry distributors. It puts her far above the competition, and shows her commitment to education in the promotional products industry. Her passion lies in helping her clients create lasting, memorable , effective promotions with good return on investment.
Nancy Sjoblom works for Black Bear Promotions part time as her bookkeeper and Margie Speirling is Debbie's sales assistant. Many of Deb's clients know Nancy and Margie to be very helpful when Debbie is out with clients or attending vendor shows to find the next great trend in the promotional product industry.
